Although the Chinese archers attempted to stage a comeback, the Indian trio maintained their rhythm and held on to the advantage until the end. The Indian archers delivered precise shots in the final round as well to seal the victory.
India’s score of 238 points made the victory even more significant. The team’s score equalled the existing world record. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated the three Indian archers—Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Prithika Pradeep and Chikitha Taniparthi—and highlighted the significance of matching the world-record score.
