India vs Pakistan on November 22 in Rising Stars Asia Cup; Vaibhav Suryavanshi in Spotlight

Doha, Qatar: Cricket fans are set for an exciting India-Pakistan clash as the two teams prepare to face each other on November 22 in the ACC Rising Stars Asia Cup 2026. The highly anticipated encounter is expected to draw considerable attention, with young Indian batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi emerging as one of the key players to watch.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a 15-member India A squad for the tournament, with Tilak Varma appointed as captain and Rajat Patidar named vice-captain. The squad features several promising and established young players, including Abhishek Sharma, Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Rinku Singh.

The Rising Stars Asia Cup 2026 will be held in Doha, Qatar, from November 19 to 29. India A will begin its campaign against Nepal on November 20 at the West End Park International Stadium. The team will then take on Pakistan A on November 22 before facing the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in its final group-stage match on November 24.

The tournament presents a significant opportunity for young batting prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi to showcase his talent on the continental stage. His performance against Pakistan A is likely to attract particular attention from cricket enthusiasts.

Suryavanshi had earlier scored 15 runs off nine balls in an Asian Games final against Pakistan. The dismissal, followed by an alleged on-field gesture from Pakistan's Saim Ayub, reportedly sparked controversy. India, however, went on to win the final.

The upcoming India-Pakistan encounter will provide Suryavanshi with another opportunity to make an impact with the bat and strengthen his reputation as one of India's promising young cricketers.

India A boasts an aggressive batting combination, with Abhishek Sharma and Vaibhav Suryavanshi likely to open the innings. The presence of experienced performers such as Tilak Varma, Rajat Patidar and Rinku Singh is expected to add depth and stability to the batting order.

Prabhsimran Singh and Kumar Kushagra have been included as wicketkeeper-batters, giving the team additional options behind the stumps.

Tilak Varma (Captain), Rajat Patidar (Vice-Captain), Abhishek Sharma, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Prabhsimran Singh (Wicketkeeper), Rinku Singh, Kumar Kushagra (Wicketkeeper), Suryansh Shedge, Shahbaz Ahmed, Vipraj Nigam, Harsh Dubey, Tanush Kotian, Harshit Rana, Prince Yadav and Arshad Khan.

With a balanced squad comprising explosive batters, versatile all-rounders and promising bowlers, India A will aim to make a strong impression in the tournament. However, the November 22 clash against Pakistan A is expected to be one of the biggest attractions of the competition.
