Under ‘Operation Hawk Eye Strike,’ the United States has carried out intense airstrikes on ISIS terrorist bases in Syria. According to reports, more than 70 ISIS hideouts have been completely destroyed in the operation. The military action was launched in retaliation for an ISIS attack on a U.S. convoy. The United States has also warned of an even stronger response against Syria if required.
According to sources, late Friday night the U.S. Air Force deployed F-15 Eagle and A-10 fighter jets, Apache helicopters, and the HIMARS rocket system to target terrorist positions. Terrorist camps, weapons depots, and training centers located near Palmyra, Raqqa, and Deir ez-Zor were heavily bombed. The strikes reportedly caused significant damage to ISIS, with many terrorists and top commanders killed.
It is noteworthy that on the 13th, ISIS terrorists attacked a U.S. convoy near Palmyra, resulting in the death of three American soldiers. In response to that attack, the United States launched this major military operation on Friday night, destroying more than 70 terrorist bases.
Following the strikes, U.S. President Donald Trump issued a strong warning to ISIS on social media, stating that terrorists responsible for killing Americans would not be spared. He said all ISIS bases would be completely eliminated and that any attack on the United States would be met with an even harsher response than before.
