The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially declared the Class 12 Compartment Exam Results 2025. Students who appeared for the supplementary exams can now check and download their scorecards from the official websites—cbseresults.nic.in, results.cbse.nic.in, and cbse.gov.in. This year, a total of 1,43,581 students registered for the exams, of which 1,38,666 appeared. Out of them, 53,201 students successfully cleared the exams, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 38.36%.
In a positive trend, girls outperformed boys, with a pass percentage of 41.35%, compared to 36.79% for boys—showing a gap of 4.56 percentage points in favour of girls. Among candidates from foreign schools, 938 students registered, and 918 appeared for the exams. Of these, 486 passed, leading to a much higher pass percentage of 52.94%—well above the national average.
The CBSE also reported that 278 Children With Special Needs (CWSN) had registered, with 273 appearing and 137 passing the exam, achieving a pass rate of 50.18%. The supplementary exams were conducted across 14,010 schools and 963 centres.
Students can check their results by visiting the CBSE results portal and entering their roll number, school number, and admit card ID. The results are also available via DigiLocker, UMANG app, SMS, and IVRS. Those wishing to apply for verification or re-evaluation of marks can do so online starting August 6, 2025. Original marksheets will be distributed through respective schools in the coming days.
