Continuous War Threats from Pakistan after India Scraps Indus Water Treaty

After India revoked the Indus Water Treaty, Pakistan has been continuously issuing threats to India. First, Pakistan’s Army Chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, threatened India from the soil of the United States. Following him, former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, and now Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have also issued threats of war.

Recently, the Pakistani Prime Minister stated that if India does not back down from its stance, they will keep “no option” off the table — a statement widely seen as an explicit war threat.

According to experts, this reaction stems from Pakistan’s internal political pressure and economic crisis. Indian diplomats have also stated that India is determined to protect its water resources and will face any challenge with firmness.
