Ranbir Kapoor’s much-awaited film Ramayan has created huge excitement among cine lovers. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the first phase of this mega project has been completed, and new updates keep surfacing every day. The biggest revelation is that Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has joined the film. He will lend his voice for Jatayu and may also serve as the narrator of the film. It is believed that if the film begins with Amitabh’s iconic voice, it will leave a profound impact on the audience.

Additionally, talented actor Amit Sial, known for Red 2, has been cast as Sugreev. Popular for his impressive performances in OTT series like Mirzapur and Maharani, Sial finds Ramayan, made with a budget of ₹4000 crore, to be a major opportunity in his career.

The project is being produced by renowned producer Namit Malhotra in association with Prime Focus and DNEG. DNEG has worked on Hollywood blockbusters like Inception and Dune, even winning an Oscar. Talking about the cast, Ranbir Kapoor will portray Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi will play Sita, Ravi Dubey will be seen as Lakshman, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Yash as Ravan.

This grand project will release in two parts — the first during Diwali 2026 and the second during Diwali 2027.
