India has strongly rejected Pakistan’s attempt to blame it for a suicide attack that occurred on Saturday in the Waziristan region of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The attack killed at least 13 Pakistani army personnel and injured 24 others.
India’s Ministry of External Affairs stated, “We have seen the official statement from the Pakistan Army in which India has been blamed for the June 28 attack in Waziristan. We completely reject this baseless and hateful allegation. It is a diversionary tactic by Pakistan.”
On Saturday, a suicide bombing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province killed at least 13 security personnel. Pakistan Army’s media unit, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), confirmed this in a statement, saying that the terrorists carried out a “planned and cowardly attack” targeting a security convoy in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan district.
According to the ISPR, on Saturday morning, a suicide bomber in an explosive-laden vehicle rammed into a Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle in Khaddi village. The blast also injured 14 civilians, including women and children, several of whom are said to be in critical condition.
