Actress Shefali Jariwala No More; Dies of Heart Attack, Rose to Fame via ‘Kaanta Laga’

Shefali Jariwala, famous from the music video “Kaanta Laga” and a contestant on "Bigg Boss 13", passed away at the age of 42, reportedly due to cardiac arrest. Her body is currently at Cooper Hospital in Mumbai.

According to the national media hospital receptionist, she suffered a heart attack on the night of June 27 and could not be saved. Reports indicate that her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, rushed her to the hospital where she was declared dead on arrival. Her sudden demise has cast a pall of grief across the entertainment industry.

A video from Cooper Hospital shows Parag sitting in the car, visibly distressed. He is seen comforting her with a gentle touch on her face.

Singer Rahul Vaid paid tribute via his Instagram Story:

“Rest in peace Shefali, you left us way too soon.”
Singer Mika Singh also shared,
“I am deeply shocked and saddened; our beloved star and dear friend has left us.”

Shefali shot to fame in 2002 with the hit song “Kaanta Laga”. She later appeared in the 2004 film “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi” alongside Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan. She also participated in Season 11 of the reality show "Bigg Boss", which featured Siddharth Shukla, who too has expressed his grief over her untimely passing.
