SOA Ranked 15th Among Deemed-to-be Universities in India

Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University (SOA), which has achieved excellence in the field of education and research, has been designated as the 15th best Deemed-to-be University in the country. On Thursday, in the 10th edition of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) published by the Ministry of Education, SOA secured the 15th position among the leading universities in India.

In New Delhi, the Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan announced the NIRF rankings for the year 2025. On this occasion, the Union Minister of State for Education Shri Sukanta Majumdar was also present. In the overall education institutions list, SOA ranked 25th.

Since 2016, in the NIRF rankings published by the Ministry of Education over 10 years, SOA has maintained its position among the top 25 higher education institutions in India. Out of these, SOA has been included in the top 20 universities 8 times.

In the current year, in the field of medical sciences, SOA’s Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital secured the 15th position. Last year it was ranked 21st, marking a rise of 6 positions this year. Similarly, SOA’s Institute of Dental Sciences retained its 9th position.

In the Engineering category, this deemed university improved from 26th position last year to 22nd position this year. Similarly, in the Law category, SOA’s National Institute of Law has received recognition among the top 10 law colleges in the country.

In research, SOA moved up one rank from 49th last year to 48th this year. As before, SOA’s Dental Sciences and Law categories have maintained their positions in the top 10 institutions in India.

In 2022, SOA received the highest A++ grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), gaining reaccreditation.

SOA’s founder chairman, Professor (Dr.) Manojranjan Nayak, expressed happiness on this occasion, extended his greetings to the faculty, researchers, and staff, and encouraged them to continue their efforts to elevate SOA further.

SOA’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Pradeept Kumar Nanda, thanked everyone for this achievement and called upon the university to achieve even greater success in the coming year.

SOA was granted the status of Deemed-to-be University by the Ministry of Education on 17th July 2007 under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
