Temporary employees will receive ₹2.5 lakhs upon leaving the job, and gratuity will increase by 10% every two years

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has approved an increase in the one-time compensation amount given to temporary employees upon retirement. Now, they will receive ₹2.5 lakhs, whereas earlier it was ₹1.5 lakhs. The Chief Minister approved the proposal on Thursday.

If a temporary employee has been appointed to a regular post but has not completed five years of service, they will still be eligible for this benefit. Employees who have served more than five years in a regular post will receive a minimum gratuity of ₹2.5 lakhs upon leaving their job.

Moreover, it has been decided that the one-time gratuity amount will increase by 10% every two years. This increase will not require approval from the Finance Department—individual departments can implement the increase on their own every two years.
