Tycon 2025 organized for the first time in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: After 13 years of impressive presence, Tye Bhubaneswar is organizing a national level and internationally recognized entrepreneurship summit, TYECON 2025, in the capital of Odisha. The two-day event marks a significant milestone in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation in Odisha.

The summit is attended by entrepreneurs and knowledge leaders from countries like India and Sri Lanka, Singapore, UAE (Dubai), USA. TYECON 2025 is organized in collaboration with the Odisha Government to present Odisha as an attractive destination for business and innovation.

Four important initiatives were unveiled on the inaugural day to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Odisha. That is, Voice of Entrepreneurship, which is a grassroots initiative to connect with all entrepreneurs of Odisha, explore their challenges and present actionable feedback to the relevant authorities. Secondly, Odisha's Top 100 Women Entrepreneurs is a campaign to identify and honour leading women entrepreneurs in the state and create role models for future women. Thirdly, Entrepreneurship in School Curriculum is an initiative to include entrepreneurship as a subject in the school curriculum to nurture an entrepreneurial mindset from a young age. Finally, the presence of Ty in every block will increase the reach of Ty in every block of Odisha. So that no entrepreneur is left behind.

In this regard, the Minister of Handlooms and Textiles of the Government of Odisha, Shri Pradeep Bala Samanta, has called upon entrepreneurs and investors to focus on innovation to bring development in new sectors, citing the 574 km coastline of Odisha as a great opportunity for the blue economy. He assured that the Odisha government will continue to support entrepreneurs through skill development and start-up incentives.

Additional Chief Secretary, Industries and I&PR Department, Hemant Sharma proposed to identify two entrepreneurs from each district with the support of TAI Bhubaneswar, focusing on raw material-based development, demand-driven development and technology-driven development of Odisha.

Principal Secretary, Power and Electronics and IT Department, Khalib Deb, highlighted the state's achievements in economic knowledge, industrial development, disaster management and healthcare, noting its special success in reducing infant and maternal mortality rates.

In this regard, President, TAI Bhubaneswar, Shri Ayakant Mohanty said, "Entrepreneurs are changemakers and nation builders. This is a celebration of entrepreneurship. We want TAI members in every block of the state and to improve the entrepreneurial environment in Odisha, we will introduce them in the school curriculum. We have a plan to engage entrepreneurship.”

TIE Global President Murali Bukkapatnam called upon the entrepreneurs, “Build boldly, lead fearlessly and make Bhubaneswar a place the world counts on. Don’t just follow, build boldly. The world is waiting for you.”

TIE Bhubaneswar Vice President Satyavrata Rath proposed the vote of thanks on this occasion. The sessions held on the first day covered the following topics. Scaling for Global Impact: Shaping the Blue Economy, Manufacturing and Mining; Connecting Odisha with the World Beyond Borders: TIE Bhubaneswar and Sri Lanka’s TIE Spirit Celebration; Startup Exhibition and Success Story Generation and Women in Entrepreneurship: Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow.

Over 500 delegates, including over 100 international participants, attended this historic event, celebrating a milestone in entrepreneurship in Odisha.
