China Showcases DF-5C, the Most Dangerous Nuclear Missile, in 80th Victory Anniversary Military Parade

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of victory against Japan in World War II, China showcased its most dangerous intercontinental ballistic nuclear missile, the ‘DF-5C’, for the first time during a military parade. This new type of missile is liquid-fueled and is estimated to have a strike range of more than 20,000 kilometers. According to a ‘Global Times’ report, it can reach any part of the world.

Along with the DF-5C, China also displayed several new-generation weapon systems for the first time in the parade. These included the 5,000-kilometer range ‘DF-26D’ anti-ship ballistic missile, the long-range hypersonic cruise missile ‘CJ-1000’, an advanced air defense system, the ‘HQ-29’ ballistic interceptor, the ‘Carrier Killer’ missile, the new battle tank ‘Type-99B’, and multiple rocket launchers.

Experts consider this missile among the most dangerous weapons in the world. Nuclear disarmament expert Professor Yang Chengjun stated, “The DF-5C is China’s liquid-fueled intercontinental strategic nuclear missile. It has been developed based on the technological advantages of the DF-5 series and DF-41 missiles, providing China with significant strategic benefits.”

He further added that the extensive display of various new types of strategic nuclear attack weapons in the parade reflects China’s nuclear strategy, which has always followed a defense-oriented nuclear policy.
