Mega Tinkering Day was celebrated today at Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) across schools across the country, with the main objective of promoting innovation, creative thinking and handicraft education among students.
Sanik School and Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 4, Bhubaneswar were supported by CSIR-IMMT under its JIGYASA programme.
At the national level, this initiative was coordinated by Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog. The programme aimed to motivate students to creatively solve real-world problems through design thinking, innovation and prototype development.
The JIGYASA team members visited both the schools and guided the students in implementing the activities as per the plan. Through hands-on tinkering sessions, students were able to explore new technologies, solve problems and showcase innovative models.
Teachers and mentors appreciated the collaboration between AIM – NITI Aayog and CSIR-IMMT, saying that such initiatives inspire young minds to pursue careers in science, technology and innovation.
