CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (CSIR-IMMT), Bhubaneswar, successfully organized the Curtain Raiser Event for the Emerging Science, Technology & Innovation Conclave (ESTIC) 2025 under the Advanced Materials and Manufacturing theme. The event, part of a nationwide initiative by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), aims to showcase India’s leadership in emerging science and technology and promote collaboration between research institutions, industry, and academia.
Distinguished guests included Dr. D. Singh, Former Chairman, IREL (India) Ltd. as Chief Guest, Dr. Prakash Kumar, Director, CSIR-NGRI, Hyderabad, and Dr. C. Raghu Kumar, Head (Beneficiation), AM/NS, with a special address by Dr. Ramanuj Narayan, Director, CSIR-IMMT, Bhubaneswar.
In his address, Dr. Ramanuj Narayan emphasized the importance of developing advanced materials and sustainable manufacturing processes to strengthen India’s industrial ecosystem and contribute to the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, while encouraging researchers, innovators, and industry professionals to actively participate in ESTIC 2025.
The event featured discussions on emerging technologies, industrial innovations, and translational research, highlighting CSIR’s pivotal role in technological transformation for national development.
ESTIC 2025 will focus on frontier technologies such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, biotechnology, space, and clean energy, offering a platform for young innovators, startups, and researchers to showcase solutions, seek mentorship, and connect with industry and stakeholders, ensuring India’s demographic dividend becomes an innovation dividend. The conclave aims to foster collaboration among researchers, policymakers, industry leaders, and entrepreneurs, shaping India’s scientific roadmap for Viksit Bharat 2047.
