Starring Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi, ‘Dhadak 2’ carried high expectations but failed to make a strong impression on the audience. While the storyline and the cast’s performances received praise, its box office performance has been disappointing. The film was released at a time when the musical romantic drama ‘Saiyara’ was at the peak of its popularity. Compared to the romantic chemistry of Ahaan Panday and Anit Padda, Triptii and Siddhant’s pairing felt underwhelming. As a result, ‘Dhadak 2’ failed to garner a strong audience response, and within just five days of release, its condition deteriorated. With collections of ₹3.50 crore on day one, ₹3.75 crore on day two, ₹4.15 crore on day three, ₹1.35 crore on day four, and ₹1.60 crore on day five, the film’s total stands at only ₹14.35 crore. Made on an estimated budget of ₹45 crore—₹35 crore spent on production and ₹10 crore on marketing and promotions—this film is struggling at the box office despite a strong cast and high expectations. Failing to reach even ₹15 crore in five days clearly shows that recovering its budget will be a major challenge.
