On the occasion of National Sports Day, 41 outstanding sportspersons of Odisha Police were felicitated. At a felicitation ceremony organized at the R.K. Padhi Memorial Hall, IPS Mess, Cuttack, Director General of Police Yogesh Bahadur Khurania honored the players with traditional uttariya and cash awards.

Speaking on the occasion, DGP Khurania said that this felicitation would inspire the youth of the state to take up sports and achieve new milestones in the future.

He also highlighted the remarkable achievements of seven Odisha Police athletes in the World Police and Fire Games held in Birmingham, USA, where they bagged 13 gold, 3 silver, and 4 bronze medals, bringing laurels to Odisha Police.

Several senior officials of the police department were also present at the ceremony.
