Odisha, widely acclaimed as the “Mineral Hub of India”, is set to further strengthen its leadership in the mining and infrastructure sector by hosting the 4th Edition of the Odisha Mining and Infrastructure International Expo 2026 from 8th to 11th January 2026 at Baramunda Ground, Bhubaneswar. The four-day mega international event will serve as an exclusive B2B trade platform dedicated to the global mining and allied industries.
Held close on the heels of the unveiling of the Viksit Odisha Vision @2036 and Viksit Bharat @2047 by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Expo is envisioned as a strategic step towards building the right ecosystem for sustainable and innovation-driven mining. With a strong emphasis on environment-friendly mining technologies, zero-net mining, advanced equipment, and global thought leadership, the Expo aims to position Odisha as a leading mining destination in Asia.
Recognised as India’s largest mining exhibition, the Expo will showcase cutting-edge advancements in mining machinery, equipment, services, and digital solutions while facilitating high-level networking among global industry leaders, innovators, policymakers, entrepreneurs, start-ups, and young professionals from Odisha. The platform is designed to foster business expansion, technology exchange, investment opportunities, and sustainable growth across the mining value chain.
Announcing the 4th edition, Swami Prem Anveshi, Chairman, Futurex Trade Fair and Events Pvt. Ltd., said that over the past three years, the Mining and Infrastructure International Expo has emerged as a powerful catalyst for the future of mining in India and beyond. He highlighted Odisha’s growing attractiveness for domestic and foreign investors, noting that multiple major projects approved by the State Government are generating thousands of jobs. The upcoming Expo, he said, will promote sustainable mining technologies and facilitate meaningful discussions on policy, innovation, and future-ready practices, helping create a unified roadmap aligned with global market expectations.
Mr. Tapan Kumar Chand, Former Chairman and Managing Director of NALCO and Chairman of the Expo Organising Committee, stated that the 4th edition will strongly focus on sustainable mining, zero-net mining, global policy dialogues through conclaves and conferences, and empowering young entrepreneurs and start-ups with international exposure. He informed that the Expo will feature 300+ companies from India and abroad, spread across 30,000+ square metres, attracting 20,000+ visitors, 250+ exhibitors, participation from 10+ countries, and 150+ live demonstrations. With global equipment manufacturers showcasing advanced technologies, Odisha is poised to emerge as a hub for mining equipment manufacturing and global supply chains.
The Expo is expected to draw participants from over 25 countries, including India, Germany, the USA, the UK, Australia, Brazil, Chile, and other major mining economies, further strengthening Odisha’s global footprint in the mining sector.
The event will be inaugurated on 8th January 2026 by His Excellency Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, Hon’ble Governor of Odisha, in the presence of Shri Prithiviraj Harichandan, Hon’ble Minister for Law, Works & Excise, Government of Odisha, and Shri Hement Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary (Industries), Government of Odisha.
A special Women in Mining Awards ceremony will be held on 9th January 2026, graced by Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha. On 10th January, Shri Bibhuti Bhusan Jena, Hon’ble Minister of Steel & Mines, Government of Odisha, along with Shri Manmohan Samal, BJP Odisha State President, will visit the Expo and present awards to professional institutes for excellence in technical and management education. The Valedictory Ceremony on 11th January 2026 will be graced by Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, who will present awards for Best CEO and Par-Excellence contributions.
