The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) is being conducted smoothly across the state today. The examination is being held at 452 centres, with a total of 1,60,379 candidates appearing for the test. Of them, 47,720 candidates have registered for OTET Paper-I, while 1,12,659 candidates are appearing for Paper-II.

Both in-service teachers and aspiring teacher candidates are participating in the examination. As many as 22,979 teachers currently working in various primary schools across the state are also appearing for the test, making it a significant step towards enhancing the professional competence and qualifications of teachers in the state’s education system.
