Prabhas’s ‘The Raja Saab’ Gets Mixed Response, Box Office Collection Drops on Day Two

Pan-India star Prabhas’s horror-comedy film ‘The Raja Saab’, which was released in theatres on January 9, has received mixed responses from audiences and critics. While the film opened well at the box office on its first day, its earnings witnessed a decline on the second day, preventing it from achieving the expected level of success.

According to early reports by Sacnilk, ‘The Raja Saab’ collected ₹9.72 crore on its second day, taking its two-day total to ₹72.83 crore. The film earned ₹9.15 crore from paid previews, while its opening day (Friday) collection stood at ₹53.75 crore.

On the global front, the film entered the ₹100 crore club on its very first day, with overseas collections amounting to ₹26 crore.

Directed by Maruthi, the film features Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, and Malavika Mohanan in key roles alongside Prabhas. However, the storyline and presentation have not managed to impress the audience strongly, leading to largely negative reviews.

On the work front, Prabhas will next be seen in director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming film ‘Spirit’, in which Tripti Dimri will play the female lead.
