The world-famous Rath Yatra is set to take place. To participate in this grand festival, Shri Jagannath Temple's Chief Administrator Dr. Aravind Padhee has invited Odisha Governor Dr. Haribabu Kambhampati. Dr. Padhee met the Governor at Raj Bhavan and presented him with a formal invitation letter. The Governor thanked Dr. Padhee for the invitation and said that Rath Yatra is a symbol of Odisha’s rich tradition and deep devotion. He expressed his anticipation to participate in this sacred occasion.
Currently, after Snana Purnima, the deities are unwell and are being worshipped secretly in the Anasara Ghar. The sacred Rath Yatra will be held on June 27. Meanwhile, preparations at the Ratha Khala (chariot workshop) are in full swing. On Monday, the 'Kaichi' and 'Andhari Tag' works were completed on all three chariots. Additionally, construction of the 'Chandrashali' has begun. Today’s tasks include setting the 'Parabhadi' and placing 12 wooden 'Posts' (Portals). Two 'Andhari Tag' of 8/2 measurement have been fitted and fixed in the chariots, and 13 portal structures have been completed.
