The tenure of Utkal University Vice-Chancellor Professor Savita Acharya has ended. She initially served for four years from 2020 to November 23, 2024, and later continued for an additional six months. She officially stepped down

However, there has been no official announcement yet regarding who will assume the position of Vice-Chancellor next. Even by late night, no name had been declared.

Speculation is rife across the university campus about who will succeed Professor Acharya in the role.
