Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, along with several industrialists and VVIPs, will arrive in Puri tomorrow to witness the Rath Yatra. This information was provided by Transport Minister Vibhuti Jena.
Strict security arrangements have been made for the Rath Yatra, with 10,000 police personnel deployed. Traffic restrictions will come into effect from tonight.
For surveillance, 275 AI-enabled CCTV cameras have been installed from Uttara Square in Bhubaneswar to Puri. A dedicated Integrated Command and Control Room has been set up at Puri Town Police Station for crowd and traffic monitoring, which will operate 24x7.
Tomorrow at 9:00 AM, the three chariots will be consecrated. Mangalarpana will take place at 9:15 AM, followed by the Pahandi procession at 9:30 AM. By 12:30 PM, the wooden idols will be seated on the chariots.
Between 2:30 and 3:30 PM, Gajapati Maharaja will perform Chhera Pahanra and Charamala fitting will take place. The chariot pulling will commence at 4:00 PM.
