The Viswas School and College of Nursing warmly welcomed its new batch of students with a grand Orientation Program for the Academic Year 2025–26, held on October 23, 2025. The event was marked by enthusiasm, joy, and a spirit of togetherness, as faculty members, parents, and students came together to celebrate the beginning of a new academic journey.

The ceremony commenced with a heartfelt welcome by senior students Chandan and Tika, who greeted the newcomers with sweets and a symbolic “welcome pen,” signifying the start of their learning journey at Viswas. The new students also completed their hostel accommodation and comfortably settled into their new environment.

A key highlight of the day was the Parents–Student Orientation Session, which beautifully blended academic values with cultural vibrancy. The program began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by dignitaries, followed by a graceful Odissi dance performance by B.Sc. Nursing second-year students, celebrating the cultural heritage of Odisha.

Mrs. Satyabhama Mishra, Chairperson of Viswas Institute, delivered the welcome address, extending her best wishes to the new students. Dr. A.K. Bahinipati, Principal, Paramedical College, inspired the gathering with an insightful and motivational speech. Adding to the encouragement, Dr. Nandini Gharai (Secretary) and Dr. Pragyan Ranjan Gharai (Chairman) of the Viswas Institute shared their valuable experiences and motivating messages, urging students to aim high and pursue excellence in their chosen field.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Er. Rajanish Kumar Singh, Campus Manager, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, parents, and students for making the event a memorable success.

The Orientation Program was a grand success, thanks to the collective efforts of Chairperson Mrs. Satyabhama Mishra, the Admission Cell, faculty members, and the dedicated support staff. The day ended on a joyful note with a community lunch at the Viswas canteen, marking the beginning of an inspiring academic journey filled with learning, friendship, and dreams.
