Will Rohit Sharma Miss the Second ODI? Team India Eyes Series Comeback in Adelaide

The second ODI between India and Australia will be played tomorrow in Adelaide. In the first rain-affected match, India faced a 7-wicket defeat. Now, Team India has the chance to level the series 1–1.

In the first ODI, India’s top order failed completely, which remains a major concern for the team. Meanwhile, reports suggest that Rohit Sharma might be dropped from the second match.

Rohit Sharma spent a long time in the nets before the second match. However, according to reports, when he returned to the hotel after practice, his behavior seemed slightly different. During the same period, head coach Gautam Gambhir and chief selector Ajit Agarkar were seen having a long discussion with Yashasvi Jaiswal, who is competing with Rohit for the opening slot. However, since Rohit hasn’t suffered any injury, the chances of him being dropped are very low.

In the first match, Rohit Sharma (8), Virat Kohli (0), and Shubman Gill (10) failed to perform. The three senior batters now have an important opportunity to regain their form. In the bowling department, Kuldeep Yadav may get a chance. Nitish Kumar Reddy or Harshit Rana might have to make way, though dropping Nitish could be tough considering his impressive performance in the first match.

India’s probable playing XI: Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (Wicketkeeper), Axar Patel, Nitish Kumar Reddy/Harshit Rana, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Siraj.
