After the men’s cricket team’s victory, the Indian women’s cricket team too defeated Pakistan comprehensively. In the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, India beat Pakistan by 88 runs. Winning the toss and opting to bat first, India scored 247 runs for 8 wickets in 50 overs. Batting was not easy on a slow pitch, but with Harleen Deol’s 46, Jemimah Rodrigues’s 32, and Richa Ghosh’s unbeaten 35, along with small contributions from other batters, the team managed to post a competitive total.
For Pakistan, Diana Baig took 4 wickets. While chasing, Pakistan came under pressure early, losing two wickets for just 20 runs. Although Sidra Ameen scored 81 and Natalia Parvaiz added 33 in a 69-run stand, no other batter could support the team. Eventually, Pakistan were bowled out for 159 in 42.4 overs.
Among Indian bowlers, Kranti Gaud claimed 3 wickets, Deepti Sharma picked 3 wickets, and Sneh Rana took 2 wickets. With this win, the Indian women’s team registered their second consecutive victory in the tournament, while Pakistan suffered their second defeat. Moreover, India’s unbeaten ODI record against Pakistan extended to 12–0.
