Swachhta Hi Seva Abhiyan 2025 Concludes at Central Horticulture Experiment Station(CHES) Bhubaneswar

The “Swachhta Hi Seva Abhiyan–2025” organized by the Central Park Research Centre, Aiginia, Bhubaneswar, successfully concluded on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The campaign, which began on September 17, was marked by a series of cleanliness and awareness activities held across schools, villages, and public spaces.

The inauguration ceremony commenced with the administration of the Swachhta pledge and the launch of the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative, under which employees planted trees in honor of their mothers. As part of the campaign, staff members carried out extensive cleaning drives in and around the institute, nearby schools, and villages, while also promoting awareness about cleanliness and environmental responsibility among the public.

In addition, the team undertook cleanliness activities at popular tourist destinations such as Khandagiri and Udayagiri. Health check-ups were organized for sanitation workers, followed by a felicitation ceremony recognizing their dedicated service.

The valedictory ceremony held yesterday featured the presence of eminent social workers and Gandhians, Shri Shrisom and Shri Bikram Keshari Mohapatra, who addressed the gathering on the importance of maintaining cleanliness in society and the crucial role of youth in environmental stewardship. Two sanitation workers from Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation were honored with certificates and incentive awards for their exemplary contributions.

Dr. Gobind Chandra Acharya, Head of the Centre, along with Smt. Annapurna Behera, Smt. Suchitra Behera, and Shri Manoj Kumar Pattnayak, attended the concluding event and expressed gratitude to all participants for their active involvement in making the campaign a success.
