CSIR-IMMT Director Addresses District-Level Vigilance Awareness Week Celebration at Cuttack Collectorate

The district-level celebration of Vigilance Awareness Week was held at the Cuttack Collectorate with enthusiastic participation from government officials, public sector representatives, educational institutions, and members of civil society. The event was organized to reinforce the values of honesty, transparency, and integrity in governance and to encourage citizen participation in building a corruption-free society.

Dr. Ramanujam, Director of the CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (CSIR-IMMT), Bhubaneswar, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour and addressed the gathering. In his address, he emphasized the importance of ethical conduct and moral responsibility in both professional and personal life. He highlighted that vigilance is not merely a week-long observance but a continuous commitment toward maintaining integrity and accountability in all spheres of work.

The Director also shared insights on how scientific organizations like CSIR-IMMT promote transparent and ethical practices in research and administration. He encouraged young participants to uphold the principles of honesty and diligence in their respective fields, noting that the true strength of a developed nation lies in the integrity of its citizens.

Senior district officials, including the Cuttack Collector and representatives from various government departments, also spoke on the significance of vigilance in fostering trust and good governance. The program included the administration of the integrity pledge, awareness talks, and the distribution of prizes to winners of essay and poster competitions held as part of the week-long observance.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, reaffirming the collective resolve to work toward a transparent, corruption-free, and progressive India under the theme “Satark Bharat, Viksit Bharat.”
